These two products overlap on invoicing and differ on almost everything else. If you are deciding between them, the useful question is which problem you actually have.

What Holded is

Holded describes itself as "the smart management software for SMEs": invoicing and accounting for freelancers and small businesses, with treasury, bank reconciliation, inventory and manufacturing, CRM, projects, HR and payroll, and POS. Its site states that it is adapted to VERI*FACTU, SII and e-invoicing, invoices in 47 currencies, and offers its interface in English, Spanish and Catalan (read 17 September 2026).

When Holded is the better choice

  • You want invoicing, accounting, inventory, projects and payroll in one Spanish-focused system.
  • You are a Spanish business that needs VERI*FACTU-adapted software. EUFactura is not VERI*FACTU software.
  • Your bookkeeping and tax forms should come out of the same tool as your invoices.

When EUFactura is the better choice

  • Most of your invoices go to customers in other EU countries, and the hard part is the VAT treatment, the VIES check and the mandatory wording. EUFactura suggests the treatment with its legal basis, validates the VAT number and adds the mentions in the customer's language.
  • You want each invoice checked against the requirements of the buyer's Member State as well as your own before it goes out.
  • Your team works in French, German, Czech, Italian or Polish as well as English and Spanish.
  • You want to start free: EUFactura has a permanent free plan; Holded's page shows a 14-day trial.

Prices at a glance

  • Holded: Plus EUR 15, Basic EUR 29, Standard EUR 59, Advanced EUR 99 and Premium EUR 199 a month, from 250 invoices a year and one user up to unlimited invoices (read 17 September 2026).
  • EUFactura: Free (5 invoices a month), Solo EUR 9 (25 a month), Business EUR 29 (unlimited, 5 companies), Scale EUR 129 (unlimited, with API).

Using both

Some businesses keep their books in an accounting suite and issue their cross-border invoices in EUFactura. The monthly export (CSV, Excel, PDF and UBL XML) and accountant access are there for that hand-over.

Facts about other products come from their own public pages as read on 17 September 2026 and may have changed since. If something here is out of date, write to hello@eufactura.eu and we will correct it.

Frequently asked questions

Is EUFactura a replacement for Holded?
Only for invoicing. EUFactura has no accounting, inventory, payroll or POS. If you use those parts of Holded, EUFactura does not replace them.
Does Holded handle reverse charge and VIES?
Its home page does not say (read 17 September 2026). Ask Holded directly how intra-Community invoices are handled.
