Companies, roles and permissions

Your account belongs to one organization (a workspace), which can hold one or more companies depending on your plan. Switch between companies from the top of the app without separate logins — useful if you run more than one legal entity.

Roles

• Owner — full access, including billing, inviting/removing members, and closing the organization. Every organization has exactly one owner.
• Admin — day-to-day management of companies, customers, invoices and settings, without billing or the ability to remove the owner.
• Member — creates and manages invoices, customers, quotes and catalog items; can't change organization or company settings.
• Accountant — read-only access to everything a member can see, for handing your books to an external accountant without sharing a real login.

Invite a teammate by email from Company settings and assign them a role; you can change or remove it later. An organization can never be left without an owner — assign a new one before the current owner leaves or closes their account.
