Creating and issuing invoices
Draft, review, and issue an invoice — and what changes once it's issued.
An invoice starts as a draft: choose a customer, add one or more lines (a description, quantity, and unit price — optionally linked to a catalog item), and set the currency and dates. A draft saves as you go and can be edited or deleted freely.
Issuing
When you're ready, issue the invoice. This is a one-way step: EUFactura allocates a permanent, sequential legal number and takes a snapshot of your company, the customer, the lines, and the VAT decision as they stood at that moment. An issued invoice can never be silently edited — including by EUFactura's own staff — which is exactly what makes it a valid legal and accounting record. To correct an issued invoice, use a credit note instead (see "Credit notes and corrections").
Before issuing, EUFactura runs a set of checks (for example, that required fields are present, and that any required legal wording for the situation is included) and shows you anything that needs review. Some issues are warnings you can proceed past after reviewing; others block issuing until fixed.
Sending
Send the invoice by email directly from EUFactura, or download the PDF and send it yourself. An emailed invoice includes a secure link to a page where your customer can view and download it — no account needed on their end.
